Mark Lucas & Friends to Lead Gullifty’s
Wednesday Jam Sessions

We’re pleased to announce that Mark Lucas & Friends, featuring some of the finest jazz artists on the Pittsburgh scene, will front our popular Wednesday night jam sessions beginning May 7.

The group is led by Mark Lucas, the versatile guitarist who recently performed on and produced vocalist Patrick Arena’s latest CD, Night and Day. Mark Lucas & Friends will offer straight-ahead jazz but, in keeping with the dynamic nature of our jam sessions, will blend in blues and rock as well.

Gullifty’s showcases live jazz each Wednesday and Friday, with special performances to supplement the schedule. Weeknight shows begin at 9 PM and carry no cover charges. On Fridays and Saturdays, performances get underway at 9:30 PM and carry a $10 minimum.

Gullifty's Scores Historic Double in AOL CityGuide Awards

Collecting a “Best” award in any category in AOL CityGuide’s competition is quite an honor. For a restaurant to score a “double” is a real cause for celebration. That’s just what we did in the 2007 City Best Winners competition staged by AOL CityGuide when Gullifty’s was named the best in Pittsburgh in the “Desserts & Bakeries” and “Live Music” categories.

Venues were nominated by AOL CityGuide’s editorial team, but consumers selected the winners by their on-line votes. All aspects of our business, whether our luscious desserts or five nights of live jazz each week, are designed for customer satisfaction. So it’s especially gratifying that you, our customers, showed your appreciation by taking the time to vote.

Our New Menu Features Beefed-up Barbecue Selections, Daily Entrée Specials

We’re delighted to announce the introduction of a new menu that includes your traditional Gullifty’s favorites – along with a beefed-up selection of barbecue items and a tempting page of featured entrées. (No need to tell you that our menu offers a full page of “Pittsburgh’s Best Desserts.”)

Among our barbecue selections are BBQ Broken Ribs, Hog Wild Wings, Pulled Pork BBQ and Blue Crusted Pork Chops – all topped with Jessie’s Lip Smackin’ Blues Sauce created by our own David Papale. We’ve added yet another winning BBQ selection – Cowboy Tips: Tender pieces of filet simmered with roasted garlic, red skin potatoes, mushrooms, peppers and onions, then finished with red wine and Jessie’s sauce and topped with fried onion rings. That’s not a meal – that’s a feast!

Our entrée specials will change every day, providing the utmost in freshness, variety and excitement. The specials cover all our entrée categories, so you’re sure to find something appealing.

Wi-Fi? Why, Certainly

Keeping in touch on-line is important to many of our customers. Now, you can dine at Gullifty’s and keep your connectivity, as our restaurant is now a Wi-Fi hot spot. You can use your wireless computer from any seat in the restaurant – including the bar area. We added this feature during our recently completed IT upgrade in response to customer requests. We’re delighted to offer this capability – but don’t forget to order!
